It’s official – the list of months you’ll receive double payments from the SSA in 2025 has been released

The Social Security Administration has finally released a list of dates when beneficiaries will receive double payments in 2025. Social Security payments will rise by a modest 2.5% in 2025. Due to a change in the regular payment schedule, beneficiaries of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will receive their increased benefits in December rather than January, as January 1 is a holiday.

Social Security beneficiaries should be aware that if a payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, the federal agency will reschedule it for the preceding business day, ensuring that beneficiaries receive their benefits without interruption.

Social Security has confirmed the days when beneficiaries will receive double payments this year

The Social Security payment schedule for 2025 shows that SSI beneficiaries will receive double payments in May, August, October, and December. Beneficiaries should remember that they will not be receiving additional payments, but rather payments in advance due to holidays.

According to the previously mentioned schedule, here are the complete payment dates for recipients of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program:

SSI recipients will earn between $1,430 and $2,900 in double payments in 2025

As the new year begins, Social Security beneficiaries will receive increased checks due to the 2025 cost of living adjustment, which was set at 2.5% on October 10th. Based on the 2.5% COLA increase, recipients of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will receive the following payment amounts:
