Clinton County, MI – Rising water has caused a large sinkhole on Grange Road south of Taft Road in Clinton County, forcing the closure. The road that crosses Kloeckner and Fuller Creek was severely damaged, with a portion of the asphalt collapsing into the ground.
According to Clinton County authorities, the area was deemed unsafe, and road barriers have been installed to prevent traffic from passing.
The commission has urged drivers to take an alternate route to avoid the dangerous section of road. The public was warned not to underestimate the power of water, which is thought to have contributed to the collapse.
Local authorities continue to monitor the situation, and road crews are working to assess the damage and make the necessary repairs. Drivers are advised to adhere to posted detour signs and exercise caution in the area.
