A woman's body was discovered in the back of her boyfriend's car at a gas station after officers stopped him for DUI

The family of a woman discovered dead in the back seat of her boyfriend’s car at a gas station says her death has left a ‘unfillable void in their hearts’.

Summer Tatiana Roney, 30, was found dead in Jacob Holt Johnson’s vehicle on Tuesday in Bluffdale, Utah. Police had originally stopped the suspect as part of a DUI investigation. However, during a traffic stop at a 7-Eleven on Redwood Road, they discovered a woman’s body in the back of the car, according to Fox 13.

The new site obtained the probable cause statement, which stated that the victim had “significant injuries and trauma that would be consistent with a homicide.”

Johnson was then brought to a police station, where he allegedly admitted to ‘putting’ Summer’s body in his car. According to the probable cause statement, he admitted that the two were “intimate partners, currently living together in Herriman”.

However, it was revealed that they had been arguing, with Johnson saying it was “over with their relationship,” according to Fox 13.

Officers asked Johnson if the woman had any physical injuries, to which he replied, “physical trauma”. When they asked how Summer had gotten into the vehicle, he calmly told them that he had “put her into [it],” according to the probable cause statement. Johnson was later charged with murder.

Following Summer’s death, her family issued a statement through their legal representative. It stated: “The family of Summer Tatiana Roney is heartbroken by her tragic and untimely death. Summer was a vibrant, kind, and loving soul who influenced everyone she met.

“She was adored by her friends, family, and coworkers, who will never forget her contagious personality and the joy she brought to their lives.

This senseless act has created an unfillable void in our hearts. We respectfully request privacy during this difficult time as we mourn and remember the incredible person Summer is.

Summer’s mother, Michelle Kellie Tischner, also took to social media, stating that she would not stop until her daughter received justice. She wrote, “I’ll fight for you even if you’re on the opposite side. “I could really use one of your long hugs right now.”

Summer’s friend also paid her a touching tribute on Facebook, calling her a “sweet soul”. She wrote: “Oh, Summer, I can’t stop remembering our funny old days.

You were always kind enough to let me borrow your hoodies. I have a great time hanging out with you; you always make me laugh when I am sad. You always give me advice, and I have to say that you have kept me out of trouble numerous times. We have many memories together.

“I’d like to tell everyone about you.” You’re a sweet soul, very funny, and you always know how to make people laugh around you. Rest in peace, my lovely friend. It’s crazy that you’re gone, but I promise I’ll finish the drawing you requested, the one with the lion and the flower for your tattoo.”

Another friend wrote on the social media site using the hashtag ‘#justiceforsummer’ that she “brought light to everyone” she knew. They replied, “I don’t even have words right now.

You brought sunshine to everyone you knew, hence the name. Summer Rony Tischner You could always make me laugh when I was having a bad day. You brought joy to everyone who knew you.

You were taken far too soon and in such a horrific way. It’s difficult to process. I am deeply sorry to your family and everyone who knew you. “I love you, my dear friend. Fly high.”
