Jayden Daniels sets the record for most rushing yards by a rookie quarterback in NFL history.

Jayden Daniels, the Commanders quarterback, has the most rushing yards of any rookie quarterback in NFL history.

Daniels surpassed the previous record of 815, set by former Commanders quarterback Robert Griffin III in 2012. Griffin played 15 games in his rookie season. Daniels is on his 16th season.

Daniels’ 7-yard run with 9:21 left gave him 820 for the season.

He has 10 carries for 85 yards tonight and leads the Commanders in running.

Zane Gonzalez kicked a 31-yard field goal with 4:32 left in the second half, giving the Commanders a third score. They lead 24-17 after trailing 17-7 at the half.

Washington scored a touchdown on their third possession of the half, but Sam Cosmi was penalized for holding, offsetting Daniels’ 2-yard touchdown pass to Olamide Zaccheaus. Zaccheaus scored the team’s first touchdown with a 7-yard reception.
