Donald Trump told Barack Obama that they would 'find a quiet place' to discuss a'matter of importance' at Jimmy Carter's funeral, according to a lip reader

Donald Trump and Barack Obama’s viral conversation at Jimmy Carter’s funeral has been decoded.

After the two rival politicians were caught on camera appearing to have a friendly conversation while seated next to each other at the somber event, forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman deciphered their exchange.

While it is unclear what the two former presidents were discussing, Freeman believes they were referring to international agreements.

According to the expert, Trump, who will be inaugurated for his second presidential term on Monday, January 20, told Obama, “I’ve pulled out of that.” It’s the conditions. “Can you imagine that?”

Trump may have been referring to his decision to withdraw from Obama’s 2015 Iran nuclear deal and 2016 Paris Climate Agreement when he took office in 2017.

Obama then laughed, and Trump added, “And after, I will.”

The cameras then cut away from the leaders before returning to their conversation, during which Trump allegedly said, “Call me at the foy after, yep,” presumably referring to the National Cathedral’s foyer.

Obama reportedly responded, “Can you just… It should be good.”

“I can’t talk; we need to find a quiet place sometime. This is an important issue, and we need to address it outside so that we can deal with it today,” Trump said.

Freeman also decoded Obama’s words as “Listen to me, it’s a chore, a chore” — though the context was lost.

Trump then supposedly said, “Yeah, right.” I cannot think of anything that is a chore.”

Freeman also noted that the politicians “appeared cordial” at the event because they were aware that cameras would be recording them.

As previously reported by OK!, Trump responded to the clip of himself and Obama chatting.

“I said, ‘Boy, they look like two people that like each other.'” And we probably will,” Trump told NBC News on Thursday, January 9, from Mar-a-Lago. “We have slightly different philosophies, right? But we probably do. I do not know. We just got along. But I got along with almost everyone.

While Trump and Obama had a surprisingly pleasant conversation, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared irritated by their exchange. In funeral footage, Harris was seen turning around and giving Obama an annoyed look.

After turning around, the former Attorney General of California, who lost to Trump in the 2024 presidential election, was seen exhaling and rolling her eyes.
