BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, Michigan – A 21-year-old Au Train man died after being hit by a vehicle on M-13 near the Zilwaukee Bridge, according to Buena Vista Township police.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. on Monday. The vehicle involved fled the scene, leaving the man fatally injured.
Police did not identify the victim Monday morning as they worked to notify his relatives.
Investigators have identified the vehicle’s part numbers, which indicate it is a 2010-2015 Chevrolet Equinox or GMC Terrain.
Police are actively looking for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
