Another Winter Weather Advisory has been issued, with the prospect of 3 to 6 inches of additional snow

Kalamazoo, Michigan (WKZO AM/FM) Lake effect snow Monday night and Tuesday, combined with colder temperatures, will keep the winter weather machine running to begin the week.

The National Weather Service has issued another Winter Weather Advisory for much of west Michigan, including Kalamazoo, Allegan, and Van Buren counties, from 7:00 p.m. Monday to 1:00 a.m. Wednesday. Calhoun County’s advisory is from 7:00 p.m. Monday to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Snow will continue into Tuesday as another blast of Arctic air moves over Lake Michigan.

According to the NWS, roads will be snow-covered and slippery as temperatures drop to around 10 degrees by Tuesday morning. Additionally, wind chill temperatures will drop to around 0.

Three to six inches of new snow is possible, with the highest amounts expected near the lakeshore.
