COLTON FRYER was the winner of the 2017 Kids Que cooking contest at the Durand Railroad Days festival, which was held for the second consecutive year. Kailee Nutt was the 2nd place finisher, Rebecca Gilbert came in third, and Ally Warffle finished in 4th place.

     The top three finishers received plaques for their efforts, and the top four were given cash prizes. Fryer received $200, Nutt received $100, Gilbert received $50, and Warffle received $25.

     The contest was sponsored by Smokin’ in the D, Randy Wise Chrysler Dodge Jeep, ATI Physical Therapy of Owosso, Durand Meat Processing, Union Station Smokehouse, and Ace Hardware of Durand.
