The Child Abuse Prevention Council’s annual Wine and Cheese Party fundraising event is scheduled for Thursday, April 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wrought Iron Grill.
This annual fundraiser is held in April, which is, ‘Child Abuse Prevention Month,’ and provides funds to support the many services provided by the council. It also brings awareness to child abuse issues in Shiawassee County.
“The Child Abuse Prevention Council has provided services, hope and healing to thousands of children and families in our county,” Jessica Thompson, Board President stated. “Community members are invited to join us in the fight against child abuse at this fun event featuring great food and unique silent and live auction items.”
Formed in 1986, the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Shiawassee County is the agency that coordinates and provides a comprehensive response to child sexual and severe physical abuse in Shiawassee County as well as providing prevention programming in the community.
