Only two of those locations have open cold cases, and one is a forty-year-old cold case that was recently solved. Take a look at some of the cold cases below.

That same day, Paige’s car, a silver/gray Oldsmobile (a 2-door) was found on Westbound I-96, just East of Fowlerville Road. At the time of the discovery, the car was on and running, as were the windshield whippers due to a storm.
Inside the running vehicle were Paige’s purse, as well as her shoes.
The area was later searched, but neither a body or Paige have ever been found. To this day nearly 1,000 tips have been given to the Livingston County Police Department about her disappearance.

Christine Castiglione

Christine Castiglione

Christine was last seen in March, 1983. She was last seen walking home from a friend’s house on 5-Mile in Redford.

Her boyfriend was on his way to pick her up and had seen her on the 5-mile road, but by the time he got there, she was gone.

Ten days later, Chrstine was discovered in a remote wooded area near Fisher and Faussett roads in the Village of Oak Grove. Which is nearly 45 miles from where she was last seen.

She was found raped and strangled. Investigators believe that her body had been left at this location prior to a snowfall, after she had last been seen.

The case went dry, as officers at the time interviewed multiple suspects with no leads. That is until 40 years later when the Livingston County Sheriffs Office recieved a grant fund to conduct advanced DNA testing on the suspects DNA samples taken from the crime scene back in the 80’s.

After three confirmed familial DNA tests, all evidence pointed back to Charles David Shaw, who had been identified as the murderer.
Unfortunately, Shaw has been dead since November of 1983. Shaw died by accidental sexual asphyxiation.

At the time, Shaw was attempting to undergo a sex change, and was seeking counseling.
