STEPPING AWAY FOR A SHORT TIME from his normal governmental duties was Rep. Ben Glardon, shown here, with the evening’s Emcee Dennis Hrcka at the 2016 Annual St. Patrick’s Party benefit for the Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee. Glardon auctioned off 15 live auction items for the event raising monies for the organization and has been a major part of this event for many years.

Respite holds many annual events to raise money for their organization and the people who are cared for by the volunteers. Soon they will have their annual Spring Purse Party Bingo held on Thursday, April 28 at GiGi’s Banquet Center in Owosso. Tickets will be $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event.
