DONNA KANAN OF THE SHIAWASSEE Conservation District offered information during the monthly Chamber AM at the Owosso Big Boy on the recent spring tree sale. She shared that extra species of trees will be available during the pick-up process at the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds on Thursday, April 18 or Friday, April 19, though most of the fruit trees are gone.
Kanan also spoke about the upcoming electronic recycling event planned for Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., near VG’s Grocery. She explained that old tube televisions and computer monitors are accepted, along with most other electronics such as flash drives, old cassette tapes and toner cartridges. No large appliances or items containing freon can be accepted.
