In February 2025, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will adjust the payment schedule for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries. The SSA will advance the disbursement to January 31, 2025 due to February 1, 2025 being a Saturday, as the agency does not send payments on that day.
Those receiving SSI, SSDI, or retirement benefits will receive their first payment on February 3, 2025. This date applies to people who started receiving Social Security benefits before May 1997 and meet the SSA’s requirements.
More dates confirmed by the Social Security Administration
The Social Security Administration has implemented a staggered payment schedule for those who started receiving benefits after April 30, 1997. Payments are made on Wednesdays. Payments will be distributed on February 12, 19, and 26, 2025, based on the beneficiary’s birth date.
Individuals born between the 1st and 10th of each month will receive their payment on February 12; those born between the 11th and 20th will receive it on February 19, and those born after the 20th will receive it on February 26.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) offers a maximum payment of $5,108 for individuals who have worked in SSA-covered jobs for 35 years and applied for benefits at the age of 70. The average monthly payment is $1,976, allowing beneficiaries to plan their expenses and financial obligations accordingly.
