The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is still a crucial help for over 42 million low-income people in the United States. Many organizations work to distribute federal funds from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help households avoid food insecurity.
The SNAP benefits program is available in Florida, and the Department of Children and Families (DCF) manages this program. From January 2025, eligible families will get their payments for 12 months without interruption. Payments have already started and will continue until the 28th.

Florida distributes SNAP benefits on EBT cards
SNAP benefits are added to an EBT card, which works like a debit card. These cards help people buy healthy foods like proteins, cereals, fruits, and vegetables for a better diet.
Remember that benefits can only be used for fresh or non-perishable foods. You cannot use them to buy hot or prepared foods, alcohol, tobacco, or non-food items.
