SLINGERLAND CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM of Owosso/Corunna unveiled its FIAT car line at its dealership at 3640 E. M-21 Thursday, Oct. 27. FIAT is part of the Chrysler Corporation, also known as FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), with headquarters in Auburn Hills and Italy. In addition to FIAT and Chrysler vehicles, FIAT also owns Maserati, Alfa-Romeo, and Agriculture Equipment companies, along with other construction equipment and vehicle lines.
Jim Slingerland, President of the Slingerland Dealership Group, said recently, “We are excited to become a FIAT dealer. I have driven these vehicles and I am very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the whole line-up. Quality is a major focus of FCA, and it truly shows. One other item that is impressive, is the whole choice of the interior options. No longer just black and white, but fun colors such as red, earth tones, and off-whites all compliment the exterior color choices. This is truly refreshing! Even the dashboard panels are color-coordinated with the body color. It is easy to get excited by the looks and performance of the whole line-up. Even the gas mileage is phenomenal. But most importantly, they are truly affordable.”
Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce (SRCC) ambassadors and Slingerland employees gathered inside the dealership for the ribbon cutting, with Jim Slingerland and his wife, Mary, seated in the red, performance-tuned FIAT 124 Spider Abarth.
