SANTA! – Santa Claus has made time in his busy schedule to visit the branches of the Community District Library. Santa has good little girl Lynette on his knee while she was with her mother, Whitney Bailey of Corunna.
Santa’s route will include the following stops: *Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Bancroft Branch, 625 Grand River Road, (989) 634-5689. His visit coincides with a pancake breakfast/dinner fundraiser for the Shiawassee Township Fire Department for non-budgeted expenses. Cost of dinner is by donation.
*Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Perry Branch, 135 S. Main (M-52), in downtown Perry after the Perry Hometown Christmas Light parade, (517) 625-3166. *Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Morrice Branch, 300 Main Street. Children are invited to come to the library at 5 p.m. to decorate a cookie for Santa and one for themselves. “Please register for the cookie decorating by calling (517) 625-7911,” said organizers.
*Dec. 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the Byron Branch, 312 Maple Street, inside Byron High School, (810) 266-4620,
ext. 312. *Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. in the New Lothrop Branch, 9387 Genesee Street, inside New Lothrop Elementary. Kids may also make a reindeer bulb craft and enjoy a snack, (810) 638-7575.
