MAJOR MILESTONE CELEBRATED – A ceremonial ribbon cutting for The Meadows, a 47-bed assisted living center in Memorial Development Corporation’s The Commons was marked amid bright sunshine Thursday afternoon, July 9. MDC is a wholly-owned for-profit owned by Memorial Healthcare of Owosso. The groundbreaking for The Commons was July 2, 2014 and The Meadows opened in late spring.
Holding the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce’s oversized scissors were Memorial Healthcare Board Chairman Tony Young and MDC President Jim Slingerland Jr. and Memorial’s President/CEO Brian Long is next to Slingerland. State Rep. Ben Glardon is next to Long.
With them were members of the MDC Board, SCRCC Ambassadors and Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership President/CEO Justin Horvath.
