On Wednesday, Oct. 26 the paperwork was signed transferring the ownership of the property for the future site of Chesaning Comfort Care Assisted Living and Memory Care, which will be located at 1800 W. Brady Rd., in Chesaning. The groundbreaking for the more than $3.5 million facility is scheduled for the end of October. Upon completion, Chesaning Comfort Care will be an approximate 30,000 square foot building, which will consist of a specialized memory care area (Memory Ville) and dedicated assisted living section (Sunny Ville). It will have 40 rooms total to serve to local community and surrounding areas. Plans for the facility include a very classy exterior elevation, well-designed landscaping plan, an interior courtyard, spa area, salon, clubroom, bistro-style dining, activity room, and premium interior work. Target date for completion of the new facility is September of 2017.

This project is a development by Comfort Care Senior Living, which consists of local entrepreneurs that are currently serving the medical community in Chesaning and surrounding areas. They currently have four other senior living facilities, the newest one just opened in Bay City. Hamza Sikander, the Managing Director and co-owner of Chesaning Comfort Care feels, “we have found the ideal location for our assisted living because the local community and the surrounding areas needed a state of the art facility that can provide value, quality care, and convenience to residents. I’m excited to be here. We truly feel this is a new standard of what a state of the art assisted living should be like.”

Property seller Darlene Pumford stated, “I toured the Bay City Comfort Care facility before I sold the property and it really threw me for a loop. I was surprised. This will be a wonderful asset for the community. It is going to be great.”
