Shiawassee County Farm Bureau Project R.E.D. (Rural Education Day) was Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds.
Over 450 second-grade students from Ovid-Elsie, Durand, Perry, Corunna, Immanuel Baptist School in Corunna and St. Paul Catholic School in Owosso were in The Arena on the Fairgrounds.
Students traveled from station to station during the day to learn about farming, forestry and water conservation through a series of interactive exhibits. Over 50 volunteers helped as well as volunteers from the Corunna FFA, Byron FFA, Perry FFA and Ovid-Elsie FFA.
