The children’s department at the Owosso branch of the Shiawassee District Library has a lot of programs planned for December. All through the month of December, children can come to the library and decorate an ornament to hang on the tree. Sensory time will be Saturday, Dec. 3. Children can come anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for some hands on messy play.

Story times will be Tuesday, Dec. 6 and Wednesday, Dec. 7 and Tuesday, Dec. 13 and Wednesday, Dec. 14. Story time starts at 10:30 a.m. Children can come for stories, crafts, music, and other activities. On Saturday, Dec. 10, children can come anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. and make some crafts to take home with them. All materials will be provided.

Hands on Learning will be Thursday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. Children can come for fun and learning with other children. Santa will be visiting the library on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. Children can take pictures with Santa, decorate cookies, and make a craft.

Puppet shows are also scheduled. Shows will be Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. and Thursday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. Children can come for a puppet show, craft and a story.
