A Shiawassee Paddling Group will be meeting at the Lytle Road Park, Lytle and Kerby roads, and paddle to Brady St. on Saturday, May 28 at 10 a.m. The group is encouraging other kayak enthusiasts to meet at the small riverside park, unload their boats, then shuttle vehicles to the fishing launch on N. Brady St., in Corunna. All paddlers are expected to be on the water by 11 a.m.

This short, one hour plus easy paddle is a good way to get started paddling the Shiawassee, announces the group. It flows through a stretch of the river with no portages. A local ice cream shop and restaurant will be open at the end of the kayak journey for those interested.
