Owosso Garden Club Celebrates Anniversary
The Owosso Garden Club met on Thursday, Oct. 13 at the St. Paul Episcopal Church in Corunna. Not only did the club enjoy a Halloween themed party, but also celebrated their 25th anniversary. The club was founded in 1991 with Shawn Merkel as the first president. The Owosso Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., and the Michigan Garden Clubs, Inc.
The objective of the club is to promote the love of gardening in home and community beautification, to promote better horticultural practices and encourage all forms of conservation. Membership is open to all men and women who share these objectives. The club meets the second Thursday of each month at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 111 S. Shiawassee St., in Corunna at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
