The Owosso Public Schools Board of Education met Monday, Sept. 14, for a strategic planning meeting. A representative from the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) led the retreat-style meeting at D’Mar Banquet and Conference Center to assist the board in drafting the future mission and vision of the school district. Discussions included defining core-values, the need for more interaction with community businesses and the desire to make sure that every student is allowed every opportunity to achieve their full potential. “I want our students to maintain the passionate curiosity of a kindergartener, all the way through graduation,” said Andrea Tuttle, Superintendent of Owosso Public Schools. The board hopes to have a strategic plan finalized by December.
