Buddy Liles will be in concert: “I’ll See You in Heaven Someday,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Northgate Wesleyan Church, 1687 N. M-52, Owosso. All are welcome and encouraged to attend! There is no cost for this event, however, a free will offering will be received so that Buddy can continue to share his music ministry with others around the country. A gospel music legend, Buddy Liles brings decades of ministry experience to every program he offers. He is most well known as the legendary bass and baritone singer of The Florida Boys for over 25 years. He performed on the “Gospel Singing Jubilee” for years beside such legendary groups as The Happy Goodman Family and The Dixie Echoes. A member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Liles continues with a solo ministry he began almost a decade ago traveling throughout the country ministering to thousands each year.

Buddy accepted the Lord at a young age in Newport, Ky. He states: “I depend on the Lord in all that I do.” Psalms 37:4, 5. Buddy’s baritone or bass interpretation of many songs has thrilled and warmed hearts across America. His first “full time” singing job was with the Orrell Quartet of Detroit in 1963. From 1966 to 1968 he sang with the Landmark Quartet based at the Landmark Baptist Temple of Cincinnati. Buddy was a member of the Florida Boys Quartet for more than 25 years, performing on the Gospel Singing Jubilee many years and singing on over twenty Singing and Preaching cruises by Templeton Tours.

Buddy was the recipient of the prestigious Marvin Norcross award at the National Quartet Convention in 1995, known as one of the most honorable awards in Gospel music. He also received the Favorite Bass award given by the Singing News Magazine. He has appeared on many of the Bill Gaither videos, singing a solo on the Sing Your Blues Away video. He sang at a Congressional Breakfast in Washington D.C. and appeared on Nashville Now, Nashville Prime Time and The Today Show from New York and has toured Israel with Gospel Concerts of California.

Buddy is now a solo ministry and is scheduling concerts, revivals, camp meetings and special services.
