NORMA WARD was named the Citizen of the Year by the Greater Durand Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, April 20. Norma was a leader in the effort to save Durand Union Station from demolition in the 1970s, and she has continued to spearhead fundraising and preservation efforts.
Norma (center) was presented with her award by Durand Mayor Deb Doyle, and a proclamation was presented by Ciera Love on behalf of 85th District Rep. Ben Frederick.
