February 2025 includes both previously set dates and those that have been advanced for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients.
By 2025, more than 72 million Americans and other qualified citizens, including the elderly, the blind, and those with disabilities, will be receiving these benefits and eagerly awaiting their next payments.
These payments assist those individuals in meeting their financial obligations and avoiding poverty and food insecurity.
Social Security payments continue on January 31
The interesting thing is that February payments begin at the end of January. Because February 1st falls on a Saturday, the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment, which is typically made on the first of each month, is moved to January 31st.
In response to user questions, the SSA clarified that advancing payments is intended to prevent beneficiaries from experiencing inconveniences or delays.
February 3 is another important date that occurs every month. Beneficiaries who started receiving payments before May 1997, or who receive both SSI and Social Security, will receive their deposits on this date. Those who rely on these benefits should review their accounts on the third of the month.
The remaining section of the calendar corresponds to retirement and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries, whose payments are scheduled for the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays in February, as follows:
- Wednesday, February 12: Payments for those born between the 1st and the 10th.
- Wednesday, February 19: Payments for those born between the 11th and the 20th.
- Wednesday, February 26: Payments for those born between the 21st and 31st.
- Friday, February 28: The SSI payment is brought forward again, since March 1 falls on a weekend.

What can I do if my payments do not arrive on the expected date?
If your Social Security payments do not arrive, you can contact the SSA in a variety of ways. However, the agency recommends waiting at least three business days to allow any delays to be resolved in the mail or at the bank.
After that, you can contact the SSA’s national helpline at 1-800-772-1213. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (local time in various time zones across the country). TTY service is available for hearing impaired users at 1-800-325-0778.
If it seems more convenient for you, go to the official SSA website at www.ssa.gov and log into your personal mySocialSecurity account to review your payment history or report a problem. Using this link, you can locate the nearest SSA office. Make sure to check the hours before you go, as they vary by location.
If you prefer traditional methods, such as writing a letter, you can address it to your local office or the SSA headquarters: Social Security Administration, Office of Public Inquiries, 6401 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21235.
