OWOSSO CHARTER TOWNSHIP’S new Township Hall/Fire Hall site work began Monday and township officials gathered with the contractor, Timberland Development, at 6 p.m. Wednesday to mark the event on S. Delaney Road across from Georgia Pacific and south of Woodard, about a half mile south of M-21. The group included those on the project committee.

Gathered were (from left): Trustees Dave Chrenka, Gary Schultz, Joy Archer and Diane Krajcovic; Supervisor Danny Miller, who organized the gathering; Owosso Township Fire Department Chief Dave Johnson and OTFD Assistant Chief Mike Thornburg; Township Assessor Steve Schweikert; Township Attorney Lynn Bowne; Township Zoning Administrator/Building Inspector Bob Delaney; Timberland Development’s Tony Burkholder, Shawn Scepka and Ron Fors.

The new hall could be completed by about December, Miller estimated. (Independent Photo/BILL CONSTINE)
