The Social Security payment days for January 2025 have nearly come to an end.
Although the checks for this benefit are dependent on a number of factors, the Administration will finish sending them within the next week, so regardless of which group of retirees we belong to, we will be able to receive the check without issue.
Retirees in groups 1, 2, and 3 have already received their retirement checks, which were sent on January 3rd, 8th, and 15th, respectively. The final group will receive their retirement checks within the next week.
This payment concludes the January payment schedule; while the Administration will send one more check before the end of the month, it is a preview of February.
Who gets the next Social Security pensioner’s benefit?
This month’s final payment, the Social Security Administration will send checks to retirees born between the 21st and 31st of any given month. Similarly, retirees in this category must have had an accepted benefit since after May 1997.

As a result, only this group of Americans will have access to this check, and the rest of the retirees will have to wait a while before receiving it again.
Specifically, the Social Security payment after this date will be made on February 3rd, but only to retirees who received benefits before May 1997.
In addition, on January 31st, the Social Security Administration will send Supplemental Security Income checks, which supplement the pensioner’s benefit, to all beneficiaries. This payment is for the February calendar, so it is an advance on this benefit.
The date we receive our payment is unaffected by our age at retirement. Similarly, the amount we receive has no bearing on the day we collect the benefit each month. The only things that matter are the year of retirement and the date of birth.
