DEMOLITION WORK on the Mowen Funeral Home, just west of downtown Owosso, was underway beginning Monday, Feb. 4. Last fall, crews had removed asbestos from the building in preparation for the demolition. The funeral home has been vacant since 2016.
Initial demolition began at the back of the structure in the parking area north of Lincoln House Apartments. Fisher Gravel Construction and Demolition of Owosso is handling the demolition process.
