Michiganders firmly support a constitutional amendment that makes no one, including a president, above the law

Lansing, Michigan — Michiganders who participated in an exclusive Epic/MRA poll for 6 News said they would strongly support a constitutional amendment stating that no one, including the president, is above the law.

This is in response to the US Supreme Court’s decision that presidents are immune from prosecution.

According to the poll, 78% of Michigan residents “totally support” and 15% “totally oppose” a constitutional amendment that states that no one, including the president, is above the law and is not immune from prosecution for engaging in illegal acts while in office.

24% of those polled approve of the Supreme Court’s decision, compared to 69% who disapprove.

The EPIC MRA survey of 600 likely Michigan voters was conducted between February 3rd and February 8th, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4%.

According to the poll, 40% of respondents identify as Democrats, 45% as Republicans, 12% as independents, and the remainder as undecided, choosing another party, or refusing to answer.
