Do you remember your first time flying in an aeroplane?

I was in my mid-20s and so nervous that I thought I’d throw up.

Officials Warn Michigan Residents Not to Fly to These Locations 

All I worried about was getting to the airport, finding a parking spot, checking my bag, going through security, and eventually getting my bag into the overhead compartment and squeezing myself into the middle seat.

Fortunately, the flight was smooth, and we arrived in Miami without incident.

Since then, I’ve visited several other states and countries, including Costa Rica, Ireland, and England.

However, since the beginning of the year, following several plane crashes in the United States within weeks, I’ve been wary of making any travel plans.

Even if you are not afraid of flying, there are many places that Michigan residents are advised against flying to for a variety of reasons.

The US State Department considers these factors when issuing advisories to Americans travelling abroad.
