Michigan State Police say they have found a young girl who had been reported missing in the Lansing area and was “considered to be endangered.”
Authorities had asked the public to be on the lookout for a Clinton County man and woman in a white pickup truck who were thought to be fleeing with their child.
On Thursday, MSP officials posted a photo of the white pickup truck with a loaded bed and wooden boards across the back, requesting that anyone who saw it call police.
MSP officials stated that officials from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department were ordered to remove a 4-year-old girl from her parents’ custody because she was “considered to be endangered.”
Authorities believe the parents were “somehow made aware of the pending removal of the child” and fled with their daughter.
MSP officials reported Thursday afternoon that the girl was found with her parents in Lansing and was unharmed. She was turned over to the authorities.
MSP officials also did not provide any information as to why the child is considered endangered, or what, if any, charges her parents will face.
The parents’ names and ages have not been released.
