THE MEMORIAL LADIES AUXILIARY has held a special Christmas tree lighting ceremony, with Santa, since the early 1950s at Memorial Healthcare Center’s main lobby and auditorium. The annual event was held on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and accompanying Santa’s visit was the Owosso Catholic Youth Choir, directed by choir director Russell Beaudoin.

Santa joined the Memorial Ladies Auxiliary Elves for a photo just before they began to serve cookies and punch to the children as well as organizing photos for those able to sit on Santa’s lap. This is a big fundraising event for the auxiliary and this year the donations will go toward Memorial Healthcare’s Emergency Room fundraiser. (Independent Photos/Elizabeth Wehman)
