THE CORUNNA VFW POST 4005 and Auxiliary continued to Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon with an additional Memorial Day observance.
Pfc. Shane Cantu, killed in action on August 28, 2012 in Afghanistan, is buried in Greenwood Cemetery. A number of family members, including his mother, Jennifer Clarke, were on hand to watch the Memorial Day event honoring fallen soldiers.
