When it comes to submitting all tax return documentation to the IRS in the United States and applying for certain tax benefits, military personnel and VA Disability program participants can apply for a credit to improve their financial situation.
Given that many VA Disability program beneficiaries have no other source of income, it is critical to understand that any of the tax breaks or similar benefits provided by the IRS can make a significant difference in our lives. However, not all Americans can apply for these EITC payments in the same way.
The IRS can publicize this type of tax break so that all qualified Americans can apply for it. Once we know we can apply for it, we discover that both military personnel and VA Disability members can improve their financial situation.
Who can apply for the IRS EITC?
There is still time for eligible Americans to apply for the EITC from the IRS, but the sooner we complete all of the paperwork, the sooner we will receive the funds associated with this credit.
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is only available to eligible Americans, regardless of military or VA disability status; however, these groups may meet the eligibility requirements. Two kinds of criteria must be distinguished. On the one hand, the fundamental criteria. However, the military is subject to two additional rules.

Thus, the basic rules for obtaining the EITC from the IRS are:
- Have earned income.
- Not exceed the limit on investment earnings.
- Have a valid Social Security number.
- Be a citizen of the United States (it is also valid to be a resident alien).
- Not submitting Form 2555 (Foreign Earned Income).
- To this we must add the other two rules for the military: having nontaxable military pay and having been stationed outside the United States.
In any case, if we are considering applying for the EITC as military personnel or veterans with disabilities and have any questions, we can contact the IRS to get them answered.
When does the IRS EITC arrive?
Depending on the year, the EITC could arrive sooner or later. However, the IRS credit usually arrives around March 3rd. As a result, if we are eligible, we will be able to receive it next month.
Once we have sent all of the documentation, all that remains is to wait, but we have discovered that we can request additional information once the process begins to work. The IRS will be able to assist us in resolving any concerns we may have in this regard.
