The Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership (SEDP), in collaboration with the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce (SRCC), will be hosting an informational forum on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the D’Mar Banquet & Conference Center (1488 N. M-52, Owosso), for community stakeholders to learn about a proposed wind farm development in Northwest Shiawassee County.     Charlottesville, Virginia-based Apex Clean Energy is seeking to build approximately 60 turbines in Fairfield, Rush, Middlebury & Owosso Charter Townships. “Our goal in hosting this forum is to ensure our local stakeholders become educated on all aspects of the development, and give citizens the opportunity to voice their concerns and have their questions answered,” said SEDP President/CEO Justin Horvath. “The proposed wind farm has the potential to impact many constituencies, including residents, businesses, governments, educational institutions and more. We hope anyone that has an interest in this will make plans to attend and learn more,” said SRCC President Jeff Deason.

RSVPs are requested for planning and refreshment purposes, and you may do so by calling (989) 723-5149 or email mperry@shiawasseechamber.org.
