THIS ‘Made in Owosso’ banner was recently put over the entrance of Curwood Castle to highlight the recent exhibition sponsored by the Shiawassee Arts Center and the Owosso Historical Commission. The ‘Made in Owosso’ exhibit is ongoing for the next nine months and includes displays in four venues. Not only is Curwood Castle full of retail and manufacturing history but also the Comstock Cabin, the Arts Center and the Paymaster Building.
Through Sept. 18, visitors will be able to see how Owosso became a city, how businesses helped the area flourish and some of the famous people who made it all possible. It is open and free to the public. Curwood Castle and the Shiawassee Arts Center will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Comstock Cabin and the Woodard Paymaster Building will be open Saturday through Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. (Independent Photo/Elizabeth Wehman)
