Our local VG’s Food Center, along with all Spartan Corporate Stores, are hosting a water drive to benefit Flint. The drive started Saturday, Jan. 23 and continues on through Saturday, Feb. 13.
To donate, all customers have to do is scan a PLU (price look up) code at the register, that will add a case of water onto their bill. The case of water will be delivered to a food bank and then delivered to the city of Flint.
Store director Rick Vermette said, “Since the Flint water crisis has reached national news, we wanted to be involved in it. It’s a good cause.”
