THE LENNON LIONS CLUB and a number of local organizations, businesses, schools, and volunteers came together again this year to help Shiawassee County families in need during the holiday season. With the help of the Swartz Creek Lions, Boy Scout Troop 87 of Lennon, Boy Scout Troop 88 of Byron, Waste Management, Van Eerdan Foods, and the Swartz Creek Community Schools, the Lennon Lions were able to distribute approximately 1.5 tons of food to 40 families.

More than 40 Lennon Lions members and Boys Scouts gathered at the Venice Township Hall Saturday, Dec. 17 to pack the food for distribution. Any remaining food was donated to the Swartz Creek Food Bank.
