Insights into Daylight Saving Time in Michigan Spring Forward 2025

Daylight Saving Time is just around the corner. In less than a month, Michigan will move forward.

It is beyond me why we continue to observe Daylight Saving Time. Every year, there is talk of canceling it, but here we are again.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for warmer weather and longer daylight hours.

When do we spring forward in Michigan?

On Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at 2:00 a.m., the clocks will change to 3:00. Sure, we lose an hour, but it also means spring is approaching.

The first official day of spring is Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Michigan residents are not alone when it comes to Daylight Saving Time. The only states in the United States that do not observe the time change are Hawaii and Arizona.

Sure, there’s plenty to do in the Great Lakes State during the winter, but springtime in Michigan has a lot to offer as well. Prepare to enjoy outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing, boating, festivals, bike rides, and walking without freezing your butt.

What are your favorite springtime activities? Please do not mention spring cleaning. Yes, it has to be done, but it isn’t as enjoyable as a Michigan festival.
