In Michigan, a Well-Known Snack Is Being Recalled

Before reaching into your pantry for a snack, keep in mind that Michigan is currently experiencing a large recall.

This time, granola bars are being recalled in Michigan. This one, too, may be too dangerous to ignore.

A Popular Snack Is Being Recalled Here in Michigan

Riverside Natural Foods Inc. has issued a recall of specific brands of MadeGood granola bars due to the potential presence of metal pieces, which could pose a safety risk if consumed.

Metal can cause serious damage to your mouth, throat, and even your intestines if consumed. It may also cause sepsis, which can be fatal in some cases. Some metals are extremely toxic if consumed. So make sure you don’t already have this product.

These products were sold throughout the United States, including Michigan, as well as in Canada and other foreign markets.

The recall includes the following MadeGood granola bar varieties, produced between January and November 2024:

  • 688201212559 – Chocolate Chip Granola Bars
  • 688201212566 – Mixed Berry Granola Bars
  • 688201212573 – Strawberry Granola Bars
  • 688201212580 – Cookies & Crème Granola Bars
  • 688201212597 – Chocolate Banana Granola Bars
  • 688201260001 – Chocolate Drizzled Birthday Cake Granola Bars
  • 688201260018 – Chocolate Drizzled Cookie Crumble Granola Bars
  • 688201260025 – Chocolate Drizzled Vanilla Granola Bars

If you have any of these products, please discontinue consumption immediately. Return the recalled products to the store where they were purchased to receive a full refund.
