JOE IBARRA (left), with his wife Erin, announced his intent at noontime Thursday, Dec. 17, to run for Shiawassee County Sheriff on the Democrat ticket in 2016. He made his announcement at Capitol Bowl in downtown Owosso.
Ibarra is a 41-year resident of Shiawassee County and said, “I have seen the good and bad in this county and running for Sheriff is something that I can do to help. I want to serve people and protect them.” Some of his objectives will be listening to the citizens concerns and taking action when needed and work within the budget to get more hours of road patrol.
