An Indiana teen is accused of threatening to murder the mother of his friend’s unborn child in an Instagram Live video, telling her, “I don’t give a f— if your baby dies or not” — over an ongoing argument, according to police.
According to local CBS affiliate WTTV, Peyton A. Manning, 18, of Delaware County, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with one count of forcible felony intimidation after making the threats on Instagram.
Manning, who turned 18 on Wednesday, allegedly threatened to murder a pregnant woman during an Instagram Live video.
“I’ll kill that baby too,” Manning allegedly said during the stream.
Charging documents obtained by WTTV show how he initially denied making the threats when confronted by police after being discovered at a local Quality Inn.
“Peyton initially denied saying anything, and then asked officers why we expected him not to say anything after being threatened,” an officer writes in the incident report. “Peyton asked me if I thought he would kill a child, and I responded that based on what he said in the video, I would have any reason to believe he would be capable of doing so.”
According to police, Manning eventually admitted to making the threats but denied intending to carry them out. Cops say his friend is the baby’s father and has been feuding with the mother. Manning’s alleged Instagram video stemmed from an ongoing argument between the two.
Police arrested Manning early Thursday morning and charged him with forcible intimidation. He was released on a $5,000 bond and awaits his first court appearance.
