Hodges Garden and Lawn Closing

CLOSING HIS DOORS – Ralph Hodges closed his shop, Hodges Garden and Lawn in Lennon (pictured) on Monday, Dec. 28, after 50 years of business.

Now retired, Hodges will spend his time between Lennon and Florida, where he travels with his wife Sandra. Hodges will continue working and repairing lawnmowers despite his retirement. Ralph and Sandra were married in July 1956 and raised four children in the home Ralph built in 1969.

True to his promise to continue serving his regular customers, Hodges opened his doors for a customer Tuesday morning, the day after he officially closed. He is seen here inspecting a part for the customer’s generator. (Independent Photos/GRAHAM STURGEON)
