Baker College of Owosso has been awarded funding that can provide a unique opportunity for people who are 19 to 24 years old and not currently enrolled in school. “If you qualify, the training is available at no cost,” it was stated. *Residential Builders & Contractors Pre-licensure Course – Baker, Business and Corporate Services will certify that participants have met individual parameters as established by the State of Michigan, and we will issue certificates verifying completion. This five-week course covers all of the State Pre-licensure mandates and more. Classes are facilitated by Architect and Professor Jed Dingens, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB.

*MIG & TIG Welding – Baker, Business and Corporate Services has designed two 80-hour short term welding programs, one for MIG Welding and one for TIG Welding in cooperation with local employers who have immediate employment opportunities. The training objectives, tools, and materials used, are directly aligned with those of local employers.

*Certified Nurse Aide Program – This program follows the requirements of the State of Michigan Curriculum Model for Nurse Aide Training providing the knowledge and theory required for proficiency within the nurse aide scope of practice, including Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support and First Aid.

*Microsoft Office Training – Learn the skills and take advantage of the entire Microsoft Package! When you sign up for the entire Microsoft Office Package, you receive a 10 percent reduced total cost! Persons need to contact Baker for more.
