A RIBBON CUTTING was held for the grand re-opening of the Pleasant Valley Impact Center, Lot 32 in Pleasant Valley Mobile Home Park, 1704 S. M-52, in Owosso. The center was originally opened in 2012, but became difficult to maintain. With the help of donations, a bigger, newer trailer has been purchased and is ready for use.

The Impact Center has provided any resources, including tutoring, cooking classes, a place to serve holiday meals, and a partnership with other community groups to provide different activities. Also available is a small food pantry, which is stocked with cleaning products, toilet paper and food items.

On hand for the ribbon cutting were Mayor Ben Frederick (who gave the invocation); Marlene Webster, Shiawassee Hope Executive Director; Heather Rivard and Jeanne Pahl, Neighborhood Co-Coordinators; Becky Fischer, volunteer; Dr. Andrea Tuttle, Superintendent of Owosso Public Schools; and Rick Mowen, Owosso Board of Education member, who donated the treats for the Open House.
