“Downtown Owosso’s ‘Glow Committee,’ which is responsible for events such as the annual Glow Parade and Glow Run 5K are pleased to announce the addition of a new and exciting event: The Glow Owosso Ice Queen competition!” said Chris Eveleth of the committee.
“In it, any interested and participating contestant will join with a local, nonprofit organization to raise the most funds and be crowned Glow Owosso’s first ever ‘Ice Queen.’ The competition will follow a very similar format to Curwood Festival’s ‘Mr. Owosso’ contest with one exception, this one is for the ladies!” he said.
Any interested candidate or charitable organization wanting to get in on the icy fun is encouraged to contact Ice Queen emcee and Glow Committee member Chris Eveleth at chriseveleth@gmail.com or (989) 413-2194. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Sept. 30.
“Events will include a kickoff cocktail gown party and an official crowning of Owosso’s first ever Ice Queen!” said Eveleth. “We hope to see you this Christmas season in downtown Owosso, and may the best lady win!”
