Darion K. Smith, 30, went on a wild crime spree in Saginaw County, Georgia. He faces 16 criminal charges stemming from his visit to the Bootlegger Party Store.

According to M Live, Smith inquired with the clerk whether the store or the surrounding property had surveillance cameras. Then he left and came across an elderly man in the parking lot.

He pushed down the elderly man and stole his wallet before fleeing in an SUV. He was caught on camera with a gun sticking out of his waistband, and a partial license plate was recovered from the fleeing vehicle.

Officers issued a warrant for his arrest and attempted to locate him. A few days later, police were dispatched to an apartment complex after receiving multiple reports of someone breaking into parked cars in the parking lot.

When the officers arrived, they found Smith breaking into the vehicles. They issued him loud commands, but he ignored them.

The officers attempted to stop him from leaving, but he swung at them and got into a white SUV. He rammed two police officers with it as he drove away.

Smith was charged with:

  • Unarmed robbery
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Third-degree fleeing and eluding police
  • Breaking and entering a vehicle for over $200
  • Five counts of felony firearm
  • Two counts of felony assault
  • Two counts of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing police
  • Two counts of breaking and entering a vehicle with less than $200
