Several children’s events are planned for September at the Durand Memorial Branch of the Shiawassee District Library. Batman Day and fall crafts, Wii day, and Lego day are all scheduled for the month. To celebrate Batman Day Saturday, Sept. 17, Batman themed crafts will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Batman costumes are welcome.

Another craft time will be held on the first day of autumn on Thursday, Sept. 22. Children of all ages are invited to drop in from 4 to 7 p.m. to make fall themed crafts. Preschoolers should bring an adult to help.

Wii Day will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24. Children are invited to bring their friends and play from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All games and equipment are provided by the library.

Another Lego Day will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. Children are invited to use the library’s many Lego kits to create some fantastic Lego designs. Completed designs will be displayed at the library until the next Lego day.
