The Friends of the Library will hold their fall book sale at the Durand Memorial Branch of the Shiawassee District Library Sept. 24 through 26. Hours for the sale are 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
A variety of books for all ages will be available in the sale and will be sorted to make shopping easier. Both hardcover and paperbacks will be sold at bargain prices.
Books, particularly fiction for adults, are still needed for the sale and may be dropped off at the library during regular library hours until Sept. 23. Books should be in gently used condition for donation. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Friends of the Library who help fund library events such as the children’s summer reading program and the end of summer party.
